When you're at Barrett Jackson or looking on Hemmings in 20 years, make sure you find out WHEN that 2015 MX-5 was delivered to the dealer, if its in the rust belt. It might have had a dirty trip up there before being purchased and squirreled away.

I still have mine here at work. Mine is like half of that one there but in a dirt attracting Snap-On white. I had to wipe it down pretty much everyday. It's under a cover until I can get it "towed" home.

Salt washes off but it does micro-scratch the clear coat to the point of dulling the paint. I have to get my car detailed this spring for that reason. Salt and ice has put a veritable grassland of little scratches in my paint. Still better than storing the fun car all winter though.

RR Evoques and F-Types come completely wrapped as well. Had to driven both of them while they were still in the giant condom. It's terrifying driving a car that you can't see out of at all, but nice once it comes time to clean them up for the lot.

I bet. And if I was spending that kind of money, I wouldn't want my car travelling in all that muck either.

Plus it cuts down on transportation damage for the dealer and manufacturer, and like you said - detailing a new delivery must be a breeze. Except for all that adhesive.
